Now that the most exciting part of the celebration is out, let's get down to the nitty-gritty!

Phase Three - The Party!

Now that the hard part is done, it's time to party!

According to Google, the first anniversary is considered the Gold Anniversary in which gold is given to your significant other!  As much as Anom loves you all, we cannot has afford a gold. 

However, we can certainly draw/write about it!

Phase Three brings your characters into the festivities!
Simply provide a drawn/written RP (minimum of full body/500 word literature) of your character playing around, looking for, or eating (hurrhurr, m3talz r g00d) something gold!  Conversely, if you'd like to draw them derping around with Birthday things, we will take those too!

All characters that enter will receive a very special reward - a Golden Nugget!

Now, I don't need to tell you that Saraphs appreciate the value of gold but this reward is actually a piece of chocolate wrapped in fancy gold wrapping!

    It had been…. An odd year. Wysteria tilted her pale head back and gazed up through the dappling branches of the trees above her. The quiet, unbroken serenity of the small grove soothed her; but only for the moment. It had not been so long ago, if she really thought about it, since the Crown Princess had brought her here in confidence and friendship. To help soothe the hurts of a broken and weeping heart. To give her a pathway to a years-long burden of grief and the river for those tears remained fresh and constantly changing. Like a new riverbed, bending with the winter melt every spring until enough centuries had passed to cut a permanent groove into the ground. Zarina had not been with this family long, but she found herself adjusting to domestic duties quickly enough. Sometimes it was a lot like being home. She would go to bed and dream of being back in the family burrow taking care of the younger kits again. She missed them dearly. Here there were some younglings that belonged to the other servants, but there were no nombeko kits this year.
Zarina was cleaning the expansive nest when two Linx cubs came bounding down the hallway, their uncontrolled giggling bouncing off the smooth, marbled walls.
"Quiet now!" one of the older maids spoke. "Don't go drawing attention you don't want."

Shafan admired the dark leather in the mirror on the shop stall, ignoring the merchant eyeing him like a hawk. The embellished cuffs looked striking against his pale coat. He turned this way and that, feeling every bit as proud and tough as the real mercenaries in their battle gear.
"Don't think you can just walk off with those," the shopkeep growled. Shafan made an indigent huff and heaved his prized possession onto the counter.
It was a large rock, found this morning outside the sandstone cliffs, split straight down the middle. The interior gleamed with crystals in varying reds and pinks. A lucky find.

With long soft wing strokes Ares flew across the blue sky. He needed a day off from his sultan campaign. His head was always full with thought about if he could win, if he would win or if he would lose. It was tiring and the tiercel just needed a little time alone. What better way to just fly off and train his abilities. Training always cleared his mind because he had to focus on something else. His legs, his wings, his whole body, the wind, the sun, the ground beneath. There was so much he had to look after, there was no time and place to think about something else.
Ares arrived at the Fire Bird's Gorge and landed on a large stone pillar. The wind was just perfect, not too low and not too strong.The tiercel looked down to see that the ground was way down. Burning Abyss Arena, Saraph Territory
   
    Dust and darkness.
    A pale figure stood alone in the ruins of an opulent building. Finely worked stone lay in tumbled piles. Here, ornate carvings of Roth rising high into the sky lay shattered among the remains of jeweled collars and bangles. There, soft and lush furs from far off lands hung in torn patches from disturbed earth. The decadent main chambers of the Ta Naqas household had been reduced to rubble. What had once been the grand hall, with a generous terrace looking out over the Gardens, was now collapsed inwards and plunged into shadow. The terrace itself shorn from the side of the cliffs and shattered into sand far below.

1995 Spring, Saraph Territory: Nofret 

    It was not unusual for Nofret to find little things in her rooms. At least, not before the bathhouse was destroyed. Since then everyone had been so busy trying to pull things together that she wouldn’t have been able to slow down enough to notice if something had been left for her. Normally they were standard things- little bouquets of flowers that the slaves would bring in because no one had ever ceased that order after the second time they had been told to do so. Even then she did not recall seeing flowers for some time and spotting them resting in a corner of the cleaned room when she awoke brightened her dark mood considerably.

Desert, Saraph Territory
The scorched earth seared the pads of his talons. The shadow of the ravine lay just ahead. He could make it.
Azrael halted at the edge of the earth's maw. The crumbling ground gave way to a dark chasm that swallowed the sunlight in its insatiable depths. It would be too narrow for flight. The brave could continue on foot.
The tiercel scouted the perimeter, carefully calculating his plan of entry. When at last he decided on a ledge supported by a multitude of outcroppings, he heaved the leather pack onto the desert floor. Take only what is necessary; leave the rest behind.
Less than fifty feet down, and the stone walls had already engulfed him in darkness. Azrael whispered a word from an ancient language and the end of his torch erupted in orange flames. Melisandre had taken to reading the flames more often since the meteors that had crashed down from the sky. Often the flames came alive in her presence, though generally did not change...Until today. As ruby eyes watched the flames flicker before her, drawn in to what she saw, a loud crash broke her concentration.
