Breathe in, breath out. It was important to stay calm but to never let one’s guard down. To stay alert to one’s surroundings and to think quick. Luck, after all, did not come by quickly or all too often. And luck had given Kitana a weakened and injured Lohané.
Suspicions had arisen in her the moment Kelahia, Lohané, and herself had been returned to where they started. Why had, she assumed, the trident teleported them out so suddenly? Was it a reaction to having placed it in the stone construct? Something about that did not seem right. The gods were tricksters who liked to set up complicated games and mazes, things that looked like one thing but was really another.
So, why had they been sent out of the ruins?

Breeding Record:
Lohané believes that, as a strong and healthy individual who has successfully survived on the islands for years, it is his duty to breed with equally healthy Hihiri mares to create the next generation. However, he has no interest in robbing the cradle and will not breed with mares more than ten years young than himself, so all potential mates must be born before 1985! He has no coat color preference in mates or offspring, colts or fillies. All mares, while free to do as they please, will be taken care of. They may either stay with him or, if they wish to stay elsewhere, Lo will be sure to check in every few days to make sure she and the foal are getting the proper nutrition. Lohané is a good and attentive father who will be active in his children's lives, often bringing tokens he finds in the deeper seas during his patrols. He does expect them to be raised according to the traditions of the herd, with a preference towards daughters becoming gatherers and sons becoming warriors although he would never question the life the gods have chosen for his children to live.

History:
Lohané comes from a looooong line of Hihiri, traceable back as far as most families can claim to have recorded although the validity of this is questionable thanks to the purely verbal record. His father was a successful hunter and his mother was a Gatherer who tended to the precious Spirit Flowers for the herd's Vigils. He has had a fairly normal life so far. He enjoyed the pleasures of a carefree foalhood and, when he turned three, was gifted with a vision at his Vigil that was interpreted to mean he was destined to become a Warrior. He has trained hard and long over the years and served his herd well, keeping the waters clear of sharks and other threats that might have surfaced.

His only sore spot is his younger sister. Saeli, on her Vigil, did not recieve a vision and lied about it. She confided in her brother, told him her secret. It was a secret he couldn't keep. He told one of his fellow warriors and word reached the ears of the then Warchief, Aheahe, and Saeli was quickly put on trial. She admitted to her crime and accepted the punishment - death. In the summer of 1982, Saeli was put to death for her crime, her legs bound with braided seaweed and wounded so that sharks could feast upon her flesh. Meanwhile, Lohané was praised for his honesty and swiftly moved up the ranks of the Hihiri warriors.

It has been a truth he has regretted ever since.

As of Spring, Year 1993 Lohané is officially the Hihiri Warchief! The new position keeps him quite busy and, with two new sons to keep an eye on, Lohané is in a fairly stable state of mind. He enjoys his new position immensely, although it has become quite tasking as the lack of a Chieftain has saddled him with more responsibilities. He has finally begun to believe that the choice he made all those years ago was the right one and, although there is a hole in his heart where his sister's love had once been, he is on the mend.
